For tea and goodies visit cafe sacher wien, located close by. Only several minutes’ walk to st stephen's cathedral. Recommend it.

Breakfast very good in the beautiful dining room. Location of the hotel very good, right next to the opera and the Kärntner Strasse. Bar very nice, too.
Room service times...

Cigar lounge, great location, very central location
The credit card will be charged according to your mood.

Very attentive and courteous staff

Breakfast was very good, great ambience of a Grand Hotel with history. Service staff, despite stress at breakfast, always quite friendly. Concierge and pages always very helpful.
The bathroom urgently needs to be renovated. Painting work in the room and WC would also be appropriate.

An employee was extremely unfriendly

The suite was wonderful, and we had excellent room service. So while we lived in a luxurious suite, I felt at home because of the history of the hotel and the way it was preserved and still alive.
Actually, I whish they would not play modern music - not even music I might enjoy - in such a fabulous, historic setting as the lobby. First impressions are important.
-
The overall ambiance of the hotel evolked elegant Vienna - exactly as we were hoping for. Staying across the street from the Opera was fantastic!
Would like coffee included in room
-
The best thing was position, especially with respect to the opera. The room was first-class; well-presented given the (limited) size.
Wifi should be free, not charged for. (This is an observation, not a complaint.)

Not a 5 stars hardly reach 4. faded and tacky. Awful water system. Hot burning or cold freezing but no middle ...breakfast poor .. more like 3 stars..shame !
We went to Sacher, for breakfast and asked to visit the rooms. We loved the place and promised to book there next time..The reason we did not because we read about work and refurbishment noise..That was true but once finished we will make the trip especially. We had treatments in the Spa, had meals and enjoyed their super breakfast.

Exceeded expectations. The deluxe double room we stayed in was pure luxury, a very large room with tons of closet space and very very comfortable. The staff were friendly and more than helpful. Expensive but worth it.
Only complaint is there was no tea/coffe making facilities in the room

It is a classic bontique luxury hotel with elegance. You would be impressed by its old movie like decoration - small but friendly lobby, bontique furnitures, even formal elevator sports seats. it has a really good location, on the opposite side of State Opera house, 5 min walking distance to Musikverein or Hofburg Palace. You could easily take Tram D to Belvedere Palace / Franz Josefs Bahnhof( train station could take to you to Merk/Krems for Wachau Velley Trip)
Extremely bad sound insulation between room, I could hear one pair of couple making love next door and another one whispering. Very hard for me to get in sleep.
-
The location is excellent , unabtrusive service and we had an excellent room with the view of the oprea house. The separate luggage area is an excellent idea, bathroom large and well eqipped.Would stray again. The lobby area needs better air circulation.

The location is superb. The room is large and beautiful, we stay in the deluxe room.
The only 2 things I didn't was the housekeeper didn't refill what was used in the bathroom, like cotton. I find that really in the 5 stars standard. I had to ask for it many times. Also The food at the hotel was really really bad. We couldn't finish anything of them. Do not recommend the Korso restaurant at all.
